Terms and Conditions

BOOKINGS:
Wedding cakes require either a $100 non-refundable deposit to secure the date or
50% of the quote, (if booking is made before quote is given the remainder of the 50% deposit is required within 30 days of the quote received) all other cakes require a $50 non- refundable deposit. Once the deposit is received, your date is secure. Please check availability before paying deposit. All other cakes require a $50 non-refundable deposit.

COVID19/ Pandemic Policy:

All deposits, full or part payments for booked cakes are
held as safe. I can operate at all levels or the traffic light system.
If your function is delayed or cancelled, we do offer refunds as per the fair trading act (Due to Force Majeure Clause, see below). But do offer a full credit voucher which can be redeemed at any time over the following 24 months and it is fully
transferrable to another event or person of if the original customer gives full consent.

CANCELLATIONS:
Any cancellations may be made up to two weeks before the event. Your deposit is
non-refundable unless agreed upon by management.

DELIVERY & PICK UP

Delivery: I deliver wedding cakes within Taranaki and other cakes on request. Fees
apply. Once the cake is delivered and set up the responsibility of the cake is
transferred to the purchaser.

Pick up: Yes, you can pick up your cake. Each cake will come in a box and is
prepared for transport. I recommend that you use a vehicle with a flat service
surface, or if the cake to go on a seat, bring a rolled up towel to place underneath so the cake isn’t sitting at an angle. Once the cake leaves the A Love of Cakes – By
Annette premises the responsibility of the cake is transferred to the purchaser.

FORCE MAJEURE CLAUSE A Love of Cakes – By Annette retains the right of a Force majeure clause which is a set of circumstances that cannot be predicted or avoided, such as illness, loss of life, strike, non-availability of goods/shortage of supply, loss or malfunctions of utilities including electricity and water, fire, floods, earthquake or any other natural Act of God, or man-made catastrophe, terrorist acts , breakdowns or malfunctions, interruptions or malfunction of computer facilities, or loss of data due to power failures or mechanical difficulties with information storage or retrieval systems, labour difficulties, war, or civil unrest, law or regulation or governmental authority declaring a partial or full lockdown, quarantine, or bank, nor any other reasonable cause that cannot be foreseen that would affect this contract. Neither party shall be held liable or responsible to the other party nor be deemed to have defaulted under or breached this Agreement for failure or delay in fulfilling or performing any term of this Agreement to the extent, and for so long as, such failure or delay is caused by or results from causes beyond the reasonable control of the affected party.
